Ryan. 20. 4th coast.
Who shot Biggie Smalls? If we don't get them, they gonna get us all.

Netflix is kind of like Denny’s… the overwhelming majority of the huge ass menu not only gives you a huge ass (see what I did there?), but is generally untouched by those who frequent the restaurant. I mean seriously dude, does anyone watch half the shit on Netflix? No way. Regardless, like Denny’s, there are a few diamonds in the rough, and Street Thief is one of them. A faux-docu-drama to rival the best of them, Street Thief is almost too real… so much so that I had to do a little Wikipedia search just to make sure. The films’ concept is simple: a film crew follows the exploits of a seasoned thief as he goes about his business of robbing businesses. In true docu-drama fashion, the thieving techniques not only look like they’d work in the real world, but echo that of what must go on in the minds of criminals. The main actor really sells this flick; his portrayal of the prolific criminal Kaspar Carr is cold, but not without little rays of emotion that peek through. It really is a stand out performance, and it has stuck with me days after viewing. Street Thief is low budget but high concept, and for that reason alone it is worth your time. You know, who is Kaspar Carr anyway?
_______
SEE IT? For those who need something a little different… beware, the narrative is completely unpredictable and I am not liable for you not liking this movie because of the end (which is hit or miss).
